  • Augusta Curtis Cultural Center Event

    Despite the rain and cold weather we had a great turnout. Special thanks to Chef Duccio Pestolesi and Enotre Oil Company for supporting our healthy kids cooking program. The event was held on December 6 at 6:00pm. It was very interactive and intimate, the food was outstanding and we are very thankful to our guests, volunteers, and Chef Duccio for taking the time from teaching at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Florence, Italy to join us in Meriden and promote our cause. Special Thanks to the Pollizzi Family  makers of Enotre Oil for their continued support of our kids program.

  • Chef Kashia Presents MCK at Enotre and UrbanFair event in Vicenza, Italy

    MCK want to take this opportunity to thank Enotre oil company (, Pietro Pollizzi, Marco Veranda, and the entire team at Urbana societa cooperativa sociale ( for inviting Chef Kashia Cave to participate and present  at the Q.B. Quanto Basta per star bene, held on Thursday June 23, 2016. It was an honor for her to speak about the work MCK is doing in Meriden and on our future plans for the program.  As we grow our partnership with Enotre oil company it opens the door to collaborate with other international organizations with the same focus for sustainability and give MCK students an opportunity to expand their mindset to travel to Italy in an educational study abroad voluntary program.

    Thanks to all the presenters that showcased their organization and doing amazing work in Vicenza, Italy, including Mr. Davide Bellarte, President of Progetto Jonathan ( an award winning re-entry program that helps men enter back into society through trade.  Mr. Ruggero Marzotto Founder of Fattoria sociale il PomoDoro, and organization focus to help people with mental and physical disabilities work on farms to learn sustainability and they also produce a variety of products and food for sale. Also Mr. Tommaso Simionato of Forum Agricoltura Sociale Vincenza.
